This is why I don’t blog

I think written word has etched itself a legacy of insurmountable beauty. There are some great writers out there who go unnoticed and it’s amazing what an online presence can offer a writer. I still want to keep my thoughts private though. I fear that if I take to a blogging platform and create a permanent name for myself, that I’ll be defined by these words. Most of what I have written over the years in the safety of my notepad has been pivotal for my creative eye, but I also see so much idiocy and personal opinion that can be easily misconstrued by a reader. I rarely have an opinion that couldn’t be changed or shaped by a logical rebuttal.

In short, I don’t want to experience scrutiny from others who disagree with my content. Writing this on a blogging platform is my way of saying that I’m taking the risk of being under the public eye and that I’ll do my best to provide apt opinions that will enrich rather than upset others.
